FAQ

Leather Craftsmanship

Custom Manufacturing

The leather craftsmanship shown in the photograph opposite expresses our capabilities in leather covering. We apply equal expertise to our door pull fabrication. Rockwood is dedicated to making the door hardware you want. Please don’t hesitate to ask for minor design or size changes to existing products or completely custom creations.

Maintenance

All pulls leave our factory with an initial coating of leather dressing. We recommend periodic application of a good leather conditioner such as Mermac Mink Oil. Frequency of maintenance depends on exposure to weather and wear. Mermac will darken the leather about the same as a drop of water. Test a small spot prior to using to verify the slight color change that naturally occurs is appealing.

Finishes

This catalog features product photographs of leather wrapped stainless steel door pulls. We also make many of these products in brass and bronze base material with a variety of architectural finishes.
